Committees

AdFed is a member-based volunteer organization. Our member/volunteers make a difference in AdFed as well as our community through our committee work. Consider how your talent, creativity and passion can contribute to one of the many committees that make this organization so successful. We have some ambitious goals and we invite you to review the information below and become involved today. We’d love to have you on board.

Our nine committees with a board member as chair, are essential to the success of AdFed. Due to the hard work of our committee and board members, we have been named as Club of the Year two years in a row through the Club Achievement process in Texas, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

To join a committee simply email the AdFed executive director with your contact information and area of interest. She can be reached at director@adfedco.org.

Public Service Committee
Promotes and serves one local non-profit organization selected by a highly selective RFP process by developing a pro-bono ad campaign and soliciting media, print and other vendors to help execute campaigns. Past projects/clients include The Meth Coalition, Bend Parks & Rec., Hunger Prevention Coalition and Healthy Beginnings. The committee needs art directors, copywriters, media buyers and project managers to assist with the selected non-profit campaign.

Web Site Committee
A new website design this year! This is the face of AdFed. www.adfedco.org. Works with all committees to easily post relevant information and notices about upcoming events and news our membership wants to hear and know about. Updates our online member directory, job bank, etc. Also helps coordinate the distribution of e-newsletters and email reminders to the membership database.

Awards Committee
Our board of directors is the driving force behind this committee, though we are looking for non-board members to participate as well. Our largest fundraiser of the year, the awards show features outstanding advertising from our members. Our most labor intensive and active committee, we need assistance with sponsorships, event planning and logistics, graphic design, judging, venue and other assorted duties.

Club Achievement
We were named Club of the Year because of the books we submit through the competition. We are in need of someone with outstanding organizational skills who has a deep knowledge of AdFed. We are also looking for a copy writer to assist certain board chairs with the book narratives.
