AdFed Receives National Recognition

AdFed entered in the American Advertising Federation (AAF) National Club Achievement competition last month. The Competition recognizes local advertising clubs for their initiatives in advertising education, club operations, communications, diversity and multicultural initiatives, government relations, membership, programs and public service.

The more than 250 clubs through the nation are allocated into five divisions: Division I: 500+, Division II: 250-499, III 100-249, IV under 100 and V: AD2 Clubs. There are 41 Division III clubs in the country, with 15 entering into the competition. There was a total of 299 entries into the full competition.

AdFed entered the books, which highlights AdFed past work and successes, in the areas of membership, programs, club operation, advertising education and communications. We are thrilled to report we placed the following in our division:

First Place: Advertising Education

- which comes with a cash award -

First Place: Programs

- we also placed third in 2010 -

Second Place: Club Operations

- we also placed 1st in Division IV back in 2002 -

Joanne Schecter, Executive Vice President for AAF Club Services said, "Our panel of judges were impressed by the work achieved by the Advertising Federation of Central Oregon and clearly, the winning entries stood out among the other entries in these winning categories."

Placing in three areas nationally is such an honor," said Georell Bracelin, AdFed president. "Every member, particularly our hardworking and dedicated board, has contributed to AdFed's success."

We hope to send a representative to attend the Salute to Achievers Ceremony at the national conference, ADMERICA!, in Austin on June 2, 2012, which honors the winning work.
