Goodby Interactive Guru to Keynote Bend WebCAM Conference

Goodby Interactive Guru to Keynote Bend WebCAM Conference (BEND, Ore.)— The second annual Bend WebCAM (Web, Creative and Marketing) Conference, a groundbreaking event in the advertising industry, is set for Sept. 30 through Oct. 1 at the Tower Theater and The Oxford Hotel.

This year's first confirmed keynote speaker is Mike Geiger, who has led multidisciplinary teams in strategy, branding, interaction design, and development of cutting-edge new media and advertising content for clients including Hewlett-Packard, Adobe, Comcast, Sprint, Got Milk?, Gucci and the NBA. As Chief Digital Officer at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, Geiger oversees interactive, digital, and emerging technology projects and has won prestigious awards including Cannes Cyber Lions and Clios. Long known as a creative and strategic powerhouse for culture-penetrating TV and print work, Goodby relied on Geiger to retool itself as a potent force for the digital age. In short order, it was named Interactive Agency of the Year at Cannes in 2009 and ultimately was honored as Adweek's Agency of the Decade. An internationally recognized speaker, Geiger has been a judge at the New York Festivals, the Webbys, the London International Advertising Awards and the Seattle Show.

Other confirmed Bend WebCAM presenters include creative directors Cal McAllister and Ian Cohen of Wexley School For Girls in Seattle, Scott Cowan and Randall Schoonover of The Great Society in Portland, Designer Julie Beeler of Second Story in Portland, and Paige Perdue, Director of Digital Marketing of WD-40 Company in San Diego.

The inaugural conference was the first to connect the latest trends in the Web world with the dynamic world of creative and marketing. Bend WebCAM attendees delve into web marketing, search marketing, social media and search engine optimization, along with creative and marketing pursuits, such as brand management, design and copywriting.

The event attracts some of America’s brightest and most influential marketing minds, further elevating Bend’s national reputation as a thriving center for creativity and the birthplace of SEO.
