This month’s AdBite speaker, Jaimie Muehlhausen of Vista, California, is a modern-day renaissance man:  part artist, designer, musician and author. As a graphic designer and creative director, Jaimie has worked in the action sports industry since 1987, helping pioneer a look and feel that was born of rebellion and backlash and has become as mainstream as McDonalds® and Wal-Mart®.

 

A father of three, Jaimie currently works as the creative director and brand manager for Tony Hawk, Inc., overseeing Tony Hawk’s many brands as well as Birdhouse Skateboards, 900 Films, and the Tony Hawk Foundation. Additionally, Jaimie takes on occasional freelance design work from clients like ESPN, Slim Jim, Chronicle Books, Playboy and just about any guitar company that will have him. He has also spent time as the art director of Snowboarder Magazine, creative director for Airwalk Shoes and creative director for Swell.com and Surfline.

 

A Webby Award®-winning web designer, Jaimie is also the dude responsible for MenWhoLookLikeKennyRogers.com, recently named as one of the Top 100 Websites Of All Time by Yahoo! He is the author of Redneck Words of Wisdom, published by Chronicle Books in 2006, and, as a musician, has opened up for the likes of legends Cheap Trick, Leon Russell, and The Plimsouls just to name a few. His latest album, Compilation Best Of 2007-2010 was released this past fall and is available on iTunes.
