 Call For Entries: Drake Awards 2008
What: Call for Entries – this is when/where you MUST bring your submissions
Where: Let's Make a Space, 1216 NE 1st Street, Bend
When: January 23rd, 2008 from 5 to 7 pm
Entry Process:
Our call for entries process worked so well last year, we've chosen to do it again! Here are the simple guidelines to aid your process in submitting your entries. We'll also have a table of supplies to make any last minute edits if needed, which is new this year.

Just follow these simple guidelines:
1. Click on the Entry Registration.
2. Create a username and password for yourself. This has to be done every year, so your name/password from last year won’t work.
3. Click “add entry” and start entering those amazing works!
4. Repeat as needed.
5. Each entry MUST be in duplicate (again), and MUST be in a 13x18, 6 mil clear re-closable envelope (basically, really big zip-lock bags). AdFed has purchased these in bulk and they are available this year gratis. *NEW* Each bag includes a piece of cardboard on the inside to prevent the bag from flexing. Pickup of those items is available at Brooks Resources and Every Idea.
a. One entry will be for the judging. This needs to have the little cut-out tab (with the entry number) facing forward, affixed to the inside of the entry envelope. It also needs to have the complete entry page (which you can print from the website) affixed to the inside upper right, facing back. You may not mount the entries to be judged on the cardboard supplied, everything should be loose in the bag when turned in.
b. The other entry will be for display at the show. It will only need to have one of the little cut-out tabs in the upper right corner, facing back. We will insert the credits prior to displaying at the show. *NEW* The display entries only can be shown mounted to the cardboard that we supply.
c. Radio/TV – Each entry MUST be in duplicate (new).
6. Also new this year, for the winners book… Please provide 1 disc (either dvd or cd) with ALL of your entries on it. You can turn this in with your manifest. If you win, this is exactly how your entries will be shown in the winners book, if you don’t provide these, well, they will not appear in the winners book. Don’t be left out! *NEW* This year, all ticket holders will automatically receive a copy of the winners book, no extra charge this year.
a. Your name should be on this disc.
b. Print entries and web screen shots NOTE SUBMISSION CHANGE FOR PRINT ENTRIES. All print entries must be accompanied by a JPEG file of the entry. The file standards are: 800 x 600 minimum pixel dimensions, CMYK, Black Background, 200 dpi minimum - 300 dpi maximum, file name should be titled with the entry number. File name that would be helpful would be: entry#/company (ie: 21-2334/EveryIdea)
c. Radio spots should be in .mp3 format, and labeled with their name and entry number.
d. TV spots should have a screen shot in jpg format AND in quicktime with dv/dvcpro format, both labeled with their name and entry number.
7. For the love of everything good in this world, PROOF YOUR ENTRIES AND CREDITS! We will post, hang and publish exactly what you enter, and will not be held accountable, or even gently chastised, for your typos. (Yes, it really happens.)
8. When you are done entering your work, double check and print the manifest.
Things to bring to the Call For Entries party:
a. Manifest, and cd/dvd with all entries for winners bookb. All entries in duplicate as outlined abovec. Check for entries, tickets, and winners booksd. The ticket form (PDF) completely filled out.
e. Online Ticket Payment (PayPal)
Tickets will be available at the Call for Entries and for a short time afterward, but we expect a sell-out crowd again this year, so…he who hesitates…
