Bend, OR—December 13, 2007—The Advertising Federation of Central Oregon (AdFed) hosted its third nonprofit conference this past Tuesday offering tips on web site management, data base management, branding, effective sponsorship solicitation, and fundraising.  Sponsors were Brooks Resources and Sublime Design Group.

In addition to door prizes, profit from the conference was donated back to a non profit attendee. AdFed was able to donate $1,000 to Upper Deschutes River Natural Resources Coalition.  The Coalition works to protect Upper Deschutes River Communities by restoring and sustaining healthy fire-resistant forests, pure and abundant river flows and wildlife habitat.

Central Oregon Family Resource Center won the grand prize of a media package valued at $4,000. The package includes printing services donated by XPress Printing in Sisters, television commercials by KOHD, and radio commercials by Bend Radio Group. Winners of the door prizes at the conference:  Family Tradition Candles; $50 gift certificate from Central Oregon Community College toward a business class, Kingdom Revelation Ministries; one night stay in Sunriver vacation rental for a board retreat, donated by Sunset Realty, Lona Hale; business cards printing donated by Minuteman Press, and Watermark Communications; Focus Pocus photo shoot package .

Molly Renner, conference chair said, “we are so pleased to be able to give back to a few of the many nonprofits in the area who contribute so much to making our community a better place to live.”

AdFed is a nonprofit organization of advertising, marketing and public relations professionals who are dedicated to upholding high ethical standards for communications in Central Oregon by supporting educational opportunities that promote the value and functions of advertising and by assisting in the promotion of socially responsible community service projects.
